Womens Sardines Under The Wharf Short Sleeve Zip Rashie
Swimwear & Rashies Size Guide
Children's Sizing Advice
Here at Sandy Feet Australia we know better than anyone that kids come in all shapes and sizes. Whilst your 8 year old may be a size 10 chest measurement, they have a size 8 hip measurement. That is why we offer all our swimwear and rashies as separates to allow you to get the right fit for your child. Here are a couple of tips to help you get the right swimwear and rashie fit:
-
Our rashies are a relaxed fit more like a t-shirt.
-
Our swimshorts and bottoms are designed to be more fitted
-
Our swimshorts all come with a drawstring and therefore can be tightened around the waist, so if your child is at the top end of the measurement for their size you may be better to go up a size.
- Our Toddler Sunsuits and our Girls Sunsuits are a larger make than the rest of the Sandy Feet Range and we recommend going down a size compared to your usual Sandy Feet sizing.
All our swimwear and rashies have been designed based on The Australian Sizing Standards. Please refer to the table below for details on kids swimwear sizing, and if you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will help you work out the best fit for your child.

Story behind the design:
"At certain times of the year schools of sardine swim around and under the Kerriri (Hammond Island, TSI) wharf. The sardines are jigged by hand and used as live bait for fishing from the wharf. On one holiday visit to Kerriri my family went fishing together. At that time my youngest son was 3 years old. He caught a sardine on his line, made friends with it and decided to keep him safe in his pocket. It was a couple of hours later that we discovered and met his new friend. The give away was the wet and slightly smelly patch around his shorts pocket. ‘Sardines under the Wharf’ as a concept was developed to preserve the special memory I have of my son and his aquatic friend."
